Re: oil pump modification
My stock pump makes the 20/50 oil 60+ psi at start and higher rpms and 20-30 psi at idle when warm. Been that way for 8 years.
What is the pump not doing that you want it to do?

Re: oil pump modification
The mod that racers will do is to put a THIN washer under the relief valve spring, thus increasing spring pressure which increase the oil pressure at which the spring opens. Not sure if it's really needed.

Re: oil pump modification
I read somewhere about modifying the oil pump drive up near the splines, tapering the the sharp edge just under the splines because it was prone to breakage. Am I off base here? The rest of the pump is OK and according to Guy Croft, I can add a 2mm steel washer under the spring. That's all
Would like to see a picture on the drive done if in fact that is what is done
Thanks, Rick
