did some comparison stopping tests today between the 84 with the Big Brake kit and a stock 1981 Spider. At 40mph the Big Brake kit cut just about 10ft from the stopping distance. This is without locking up the brakes.

the kits are ready to ship. In comparison tests, stopping distance is improved about 25%. This kit makes the Spider stop like a modern sports car! The kits include powder coated calipers, pads, rotors, braided steel hoses, mounting brackets and hardware. Kits can be upgraded to EBC pads and slotted rotors, but the improvement with the base kit is so dramatic that I'd only suggest the upgrade if you plan on racing.

Are the calipers new or rebuilds? I had looked for new calipers a while back, and nobody seemed to have them actually NEW.

I will offer the bracket and hose kit, I just haven't broken it down yet for pricing.
The calipers are take offs from cars that have gotten the Wilwood kit installed. The first batch of calipers has 8 miles on them, since they taken off brand new cars that got dealer upgrade packages

Ahh, so they're used. Are they guaranteed to be below a certain mileage?

Like I wrote, the first batch of calipers has 8 miles on them. We did Wilwood upgrades for a dealer and the got the take-off calipers. Obviously we won't supply a non-working caliper with any kit. If they're suspect we will rebuild them but these are virtually brand new calipers in the first batch. The rotors, hoses, adapters are all brand new.
