swap engines

i am thinking about taking the 2.0 dual idf engine out of my 79 and swap it out on my 80 2000 auto
how would that work out,GOOD 'BAD
the engine in the 80 is not that good,it has low compression, where the engine in the 79 is better, so swapping the 80 engine would be good i think ,then maybe i can just sell the 79 to some one without the engine only. everything else would stay on the car

if you plan to use the idf's with the auto, connecting the throttle linkage to the trans detent cable will be a bit of a challenge

well we will see what happens yet, i am debating on what to do with the 79 all together

actually, i have the linkage solution for auto trans as well, if you are using center pull on the carbs. meaning the linkage is using the ball mount between the carbs, as on the originals, there is a easy linkage to use the twist linkage from the 76 on spiders/131's
