Paint

Post by racydave »

I would not want to trash anyones paint job, the best paint job nowadays is the base coat, clear coat, which is in a long line of inprovments in paint. If your painter is any good at all do not sand or "buff out" this! This will only dull your paint. A perfect paint job untouched is is a beautifull, shiney thing! Buffing out paint is for a Laquer paint, GET A GOOD PAINTER!!!I am helping my body/ painting buddy restore his farm house, what a deal!

The quality of paint is a very important factor. What kind is your guy going to use? Sometimes, even in the best circumstances, it may be necessary to wet sand and buff after a paint job. dirt and bugs are like magnetics to wet paint.
