82 courtesy light wiring guidance

I have the all hot red/black on one side and the purple black on ground side for doors so all good on that circuit- What color wire used on the center spade on light switch? Can't get the light to switch on when in car and both doors closed- Thanks

I believe the switch terminals of the courtesy light wire colors are, violet/black for the door switches and white/black for the ground that allows turning on the light with both doors closed. It is not uncommon for the switch contacts to need cleaning or reforming for proper operation. Particularly the constant ground contact because it is exposed to the environment when not selected.
