1983...pininfarina or fiat?

I am new to ownership. I bought an old 2000 (mfg date on door 3/83) for cheap and am going to see about a restore. My car has a "2000" badge on the back, a fiat badge on the steering wheel (the one that spells out fiat with leaves around it) but the badges on the truck and hood are missing (I can see they were round). There is a pininfarina badge on the side in front of the rear wheels and a spidereuropa badge on the center console.....I'm not able to upload photos yet...Working on it.

1-Was this made by fiat or Pininfarina?
2-What badge would've been on the hood and trunk? I've seen round fiat Badges, rectangle "F" badges and round "F" badges.

Thanks for the reply. I do not have mirrors on the triangle glass, i have two side mirrors on the metal of the doors. I wonder if the mirrors are original. My Triangle glass has no hole in it where a mirror would mount and the glass pivots out.

So there must be 83 fiats and 83 pininfarina. Seams like mine has a lot of style from the 82 model year. But the door definitely says 3/83.

Hi,
whats your VIN? Starting ZFRAS means "Pininfarina" built and badged, ZFAAS means "FIAT" badged. Your build date 03/83 tells us, that your VIN must be like ZFRAS00BxD55019xx or .. 55020xx, so it's officially a "Pininfarina" Azzurra Spider!

Looks like you are right about the VIN.

I'll send the info.
What badges do you think were on the car originally? The only badge I see is the Fiat on the steering wheel.
I took the side mirror off, but it was mounted just below the door's vent window on the sheet metal.

I think in 84 they switched to a rectangular hood badge. Saw this one at a car show last month. Not sure if it’s original or not though.

No air conditioning. I don't care but I thought I read that they all had ac for that year.
