Bike rack

Post by Soly »

Anyone know if Fiat recommends a bike rack for the new Fiat spider. I have looked at the saris bone rack but the bumper, I do not think, will support it. Any ideas? Much appreciated

you will need to get one with straps that hook to the trunk or make your own.

Thanks for the idea, but even with the official Spider boot rack I can only safely put a recommended 10kg on the boot, so I do not think this will work. If anyone has any pictures with a bike rack on the new Spider, they would be appreciated.

Most modern bicycles weigh less than 22 lbs. What's the big deal?

That sounds very light 10kg or 22 pounds. By the time you put a rack, bike and accessories like water bottles combined with force of motion. Seems like you should be able to put almost twice that amount.
