Sun Visors

Post by jandarah »

Currently my sun visors are not fitted, but I would like to use them, with the hot Australian summer very close. When fitted they are lousy, hitting the soft top latches and, when they down to block out some sun, they appear to take up too much of the windscreen. Keeping them tight enough to stay in position, well that is another story.

Anyone had better luck, as, from photos I see that many do have them fitted and, many do not.

Cheers,

They work well flipped up to block the sun coming over the top of the windshield and for reducing wind noise in the car when the top is down. Too short a windshield to use them flipped down unless you're about 4 foot nothing tall.

Yep, that sums it up well. Might need to do some mods to narrow them, as I would prefer them to block some sun at the top of the screen..... bring out the cutters... 8)

Cheers,
My Miata driving co-workers like them the way they are since flipped up when the top is down they make the ride more civilized. They have considered a slip on for theirs to make the more like the Spiders to act as diverters to deflect wind and dirt over their heads.
