weird accelerator pedal

What do you think of this pedal and how it is misaligned with the (missing) pad.



is this normal ?

Nope, but have a look up under the pedal shaft and make sure all is straight there. There is also a spring on the pedal that goes to a small bracket hanging from the lower right stud from the brake booster. Perhaps the plastic bushing at the pedal/ shaft bolt is pooched.
