years ago I found a place in El Monte that made custom steel wheels and also did widening. Not sure if they're still around though

geez, I'm having trouble remembering what I had for breakfast! :?
I'll do some research and see if I can come up with it. Maybe hypnosis?

widening wheels?

Just make a billet aluminum spacer with bolts and bolt on any size wheel you want! I have 17" with low profile tires. There's plenty of room with the stock suspension and I don't have to carry two different size spares, it also helps when you have around 500hp in your spider like I do. Check it out at http://www.italiancarclub.com Look under galleries at Robert Hall's LT-1 spider.

This may help or not. I found these guys on a vw site .The only problem is they are on the east coast. They will widen your rims for $300 if you provide them. Which I guess would be the case as the main market they are going for are running a 4x100 bolt pattern. They have them in that bolt pattern in just about any offset or width you would need. Also http://www.diamondracingwheels.com has some 13x7 with a 4x98 bolt pattern for around $60 a piece. Hope this helps.[/url]

hey that's a great link. They have a 13 x 8 wheel in a 4x98 pattern for $48 each. I doubt if you can beat that deal anywhere!

are those wheels race use only, or street also?
