Turn signal ?

Post by dulcimerbob »

I went bumperless on my 76 and replaced the front TS with marker lights with two small bulbs in each one. The ts all work fine but my ts indicator light on the dash flashes once and quits when the signals are engaged. Not enough current , too much ? Need help. Thanks

I suspect a bad ground. Run a jumper ground and start touching it to the bases front and rear and see if it comes back on. I had this problem with the left rear ground on the inside tail lamp hold down nut location.

had a similar problem when I did mine. not enough draw. just for kicks try hooking up another light with bigger draw (or both lights to one side) to see it works.

I suspect too little draw . The stock signals worked fine in conjunction with the indicator lights. Back to the drawing board. :D Thanks

solution was to wire that front fender light into the same line. don't ask me how I did it, but I think i saw a "how-to" around here somewhere.....having those two lights on each side provided enough draw.
