Question - Voltmeter

Post by RDSPYDR »

I know I asked some questions before, but...

I have removed my clock for now and instead I am going to put a voltmeter in its place. Can I use the positive and negative from the old clock connector for the Voltmeter ?

concur.

which voltmeter did you get? is the veglia?

the problem with your intended hookup is that it will ALWAYS register voltage, until it drains the battery

what you want is a switched 12 volt supply, like the wire to the coil from the ignition switch. then it is always working when your car is running, and not when you don't need it to.

Yes it is the vegilia ( sp? ). I noticed when I hooked it up from the clock, it immediately registered voltage. I have since disconnected it and will hook it through the coil.

Thanks
