Exploding rotor no spark?!

The rotor exploded inside the cap took out the springs, I got a new cap and rotor replaced the springs now I have no spark, Joe at Joe's fiat in Redwood City, Ca. gave me a loaner distributor just in case, I tried both dizzys with no luck getting spark, when I stick a screwdriver in the top of the coil and crank the engine i get no spark, what are the chances the module fried as a result of the rotor problem?

the broken rotor shouldn't have affected the module. Have you checked for power with a voltmeter or test light?

could have mangled the magnetic pickup wires inside the dizzy.....
