Washer Fluid Bottle Pump Wire

The water pump on my Washer fluid bottle is leaking so I'm changing it out. I noticed that the other end of the pump wire was not plugged into anything but it was still working and spraying fluid. Not sure how? Bypassed perhaps? Anyone know wher the other end of the pump wire goes?

I believe there should be a 2 pin molded bullet connector for the pump wires. From the pump the connector has a black/violet wire and a pink/black wire. From the car the connector should have a gray/black wire and a black/violet wire. The connector is identified as C11 in the wire diagram and is located roughly 8 inches from the pump motor. There are a number of light and horn wire connectors in the same area near the grounding pod on the drivers side fender well under the hood.

Thanks for the information. I would appear that my vehicle has a different set up for the pump. The pump below the plastic tank for a pump that was mounted on the driver's side firewall. Not sure if it's an aftermarket pump installed by previous owner? I will attempt to post pics. Anyone else have this set up?

I think a 1980 Fuel Injected car has a molded plastic washer bottle mounted outboard of the radiator driver side. Its pump is installed in the lowest part of the back of the bottle. Carb 1980 had a washer bag mounted on the passenger side fender well with its pump installed toward the bottom of the bag facing the engine, I am not familiar with any washer pumps installed by the factory on a fender well.
