Hi All,
I have the 5 speed box out of my car at present as I'm preparing for the resto. the input shaft (spline to the clutch plate) has about 2mm of play in the radial direction. So I can move the end of the shaft a few mm each way. This isn't what I was expecting, but I've never worked on an old italian before...
Is this normal or an indicator that a gearbox rebuild is in order? Can you get rebuild kits for a 75 CSI?
