Brake Fluid Reservoir Cap Success

So the brake fluid reservoir cap has been broken since I bought the car. More of an annoyance than anything. Working with the carb it was always falling off and the wires for the cap were laying loose in the engine compartment along with 30,000 other wires. Ordered a cap, connected the wires and tested to see if the circuit actually still worked.... happy to say that when the brake light finally shut off and the wires were plugged into the fluid cap with the cap outside of the reservoir, the brake light came on... and as soon as the sensor was put into the reservoir the brake light went out.... tiny success story but baby steps.
