Pushing bumpers in

hi all - i realize this is an old post, but i figured i would give it a shot anyway. i am trying to perform the bumper tuck on my '80 spider. drilled a hole in both shocks (nothing came out). passenger side went in easily. drivers side will not budge at all. i've used a sledge hammer, steel post in parking lot, lots of rust penetrating lubrication but no luck. it is driving me up a wall and i do not want to take out the tank. any suggestions would be much appreciated.
