Big thanks to a few folks really helping our supply needs for the 124...The guys at Auto Ricambi in Texas! - Thanks for being super responsive, supportive, and generally interested in electrification of the 124! Parts, advice, solutions to unique challenges etc. Thanks for your help guys:)

Lots of assembly and detail work dialing in all elements: interior, trunk interior work, locks, gaskets, seals, glass, and you get the idea. More like 124 x 124 items to address Here we go:

Laser cut flange for the motor bay cleans up the presentation nicely. Note the Deck logo houses the Controller Chill plate cooling radiator & fan hidden underneath.





Coolant Tank with laser cut, shop bent mounting bracket. Minimal plumbing will be visible.

New Fiberglass dash from Allisons Automotive.... Custom wood face they did is nice and easier than doing the woodwork myself a 2nd time - Custom EGT Gauges look nice and lots of user input on design.... May redo the Fuel gauge "Fuel" with "SOC"...

I know I'm arriving to the party a little late but I have been watching and it's a great build.

I'm thinking.. The controlling fan has a plastic assemble (I think) and it being under the car would be open to any and all road hazards.
But I know you want that great looking Logo viewable from the engine compartment.

So, how about you locate the fan and radiator assembly above the plate. Cover these two with a box (steel/aluminum)
open toward the front of the car to allow cooling air in. This box will have your logo on it. (Same as before)
Then add something like a "clam shell" under the plate with the open end facing toward the rear
of the car which would pull air out at speed.

I'm also interested in the estimated RPM of the motor at say 60MPH.

The fan mount panel is a "vanity" plate and the stock "pan" is under the "motor" area. Not an issue. This system needs very little cooling vs combustion... no need for scoops. RPM is subject to gear selection on the 5 speed transmission. Can drive in any gear for the most part. Power allows car to run up to 125mph in short order and max out RPM in 5th.

If you have done harness wiring before you will appreciate how simple this makes it for the installer. System was fully bench tested prior to shipping so will be fun to watch the progress of the installer in Seatlle! Get some Matt!

Base Level EV System motor is still sweet at 120HP/173Ft/lbs! Feels like 200 HP! Same Motor we installed with our latest collaboration with Volkswagen. No longer a secret and a super neat build.

We shipped a Fiat 124 System to Matt in Seattle. He is installing the system with the guidance of our instruction manual and a helper mechanic. T-minus @5 days to 1st electric drive New 12v system, rather crisp LED lighting, OEM brake system rebuild all around and plumbed well... including brake transducer (regenerative braking)..... Gauges mated into dash.....

We took the Fiat our for a quick drive yesterday. What a cool feeling driving a brand new 40 year old car with a lot more get up! Awesome. Perfect power upgrade and combination with the transmission. Looking forward to range testing and finalizing programming. Here are some detail photos of as we get within a couple week of wrapping this up.....

Kerb Weight: Minus the hood and front new bumper but we are looking really good on weight... less than OEM! Front to rear is pretty good too. Tires like to scratch...


Motor Bay: A few small finish details but this is about it.



Glove Box Data Center... Controller Monitor and Battery Management System (BMS).... Provides excellent info.. 12v charge rate and system status, HV system and battery status, HV/LV system separation confirmation etc.... some valuable data for instant vehicle information.


Brake System: Completely new OEM brake system with the exception of vacuum pump and vac reservoir. Vac pump is hidden in the wheel well. Really good performance and power with easy pedal. We have yet to program the Regen.


Back End: All wired up and running. Some wire clean up and panel install and its done. 1000 watt DC/DC converter for 12v power, Smart 3.3kW Level 2 Charging works with 110/220v...


A couple small clean up items to the charge port.....


Switch Plate should be here shortly for the Forward Reverse Switch, hazard & Ped Bell....

Italian Car day at The Motoring Club in Marina Del Rey today was the 1st legit drive. No problems, more tuning and the punch list is getting narrower: Good Company. The 124 is the cousin in a brother sandwich Two of three are electric classics.
