New Visors!

Post by v6spider »

My fiance just bought me a pair of original visors that were in excellent shape.. My question is the driver's side visor pivot is slipping a little. I've tried tightening it but I'm afraid to go any further.. I'm curious if there is a bushing inside that needs to be replaced or some trick to it..

I tried to tighten mine up using the outboard screw like on an American car and then it hit me that this is an Italian car. The phillips screw on the visor near the center of the car is the tensioner. I believe there is an aluminum clamp inside the visor that the screw clamps down on the center mount.

On the early cars .. Mine's a 72... There is a clamp at both ends and requires a grooved blade screwdriver to adjust along with a regular one. My issue was the visor wasn't centered. Once I centered it I just tightened the clamps and I am good to go. Appreciate the reply. :)

Cheers!
