,I replaced my speedometer cable today, but my question is how do you know if you have it seated correctly (besides driving the car). I made note of the orientation of the cable when I pulled the old one and tried my best to match the orientation. After installing the transmission end (Doing this job without a lift is a bit more difficult than described in the shop manual
) I return to the speedo end and tried to rotate the cable, there was no play. So should I be good to go? The interior goes back in on Sunday and I would hate to have to pull the cable with the interior inplace.
