After my Christmas present of a dented hood http://www.fiatspider.com/f08/viewtopic ... bug#p12524 I am working on what I didn't want to do; a (pretty) complete refresh of my Spider. I wanted to have the car done for the British European Auto Tour a couple of weeks ago but the best I could do was manage to wash it. And after 1300 miles in 4 days it needs it again. Damn there are some big bugs out there!
P.S. Not only did I have the ONLY Fiat I also won the Best Hooter(s) Award with my stock horn. That alone made my stop at the Emergency Room in Flagstaff worth the trip. $400+ in gas was more painful than anything!
Ok, on to the chrome discussion.

I just got stuff back on Friday with a bill just short of $500. If you read the Website they seem a litte tight on the Gestapo leaning directions but I have not found a better communicator of customer service in a LONG time. Gen is great!

I sent three dash pieces to be used to select the best candidate.
These should look nice with some new paint and rechromed bumpers.

Of course now that I just spied Curly's solid rear bumper I will have a set of rechromed rear bumpers for sale...
And finally here is the dash that will eventually go in the car. I just found a guy on Saturday with a vacuum machine to apply the veneer.

I bought an engine stand today from Harbor Freight to support my spare engine for its rebuild. I need to clean up the FI parts. A set of 14" OZs are ready to go to the wheel shop. But I did just score an AutoPower roll bar today for $18.00. Oh the humanity!
If you are in San Diego, stop by and say 'hi.'
