I have been doing a lot of reading on this topic however, I am a much better visual learner

When the car is running and I apply the brake ( with little pressure) there is a hissing sound that immediately comes from the pedal area (inside). I am hoping to make a video tonight. When the car is not running and I apply the brake it feels normal and reacts as it should.

i have heard "you need a new booster", "you need a new master cylinder", "you need to bleed the system" etc. Here is what I have done with no change in the symptoms. I have not lost any brake fluid and it remains at the Max level, I have bled the system, there has not been any recent activity with the brakes (was working one day then the sound just started), I have the AR silicone kit on her and i double checked the vacuum booster line and check valve and both seem fine. The brakes do work however, when applying (parked or moving) the engine starts to bog down (shake and shudder and finally stalled (first time last night). So if there is anyone who is reading this and you are in/near the Ottawa area and could lend a helping hand to a great guy with an even greater sense of humour please let me know. To the others I welcome all tips, photos, videos etc in an attempt to correct/fix this issue rather than me just going out and buying all new parts without identifying the cause
Thanking you in advance,
Jay
