Leaking radiator cap

Has anyone seen this before? It's a bit hard to see, but the brand new cap is leaking through the top. I could see it bubbling when I popped the hood just after driving home. I checked the overflow hose and there is no restriction with the reservoir so I don't guess there is any significant pressure build up when the cap vents. The plastic reservoir cap is also not plugged up. Do I just have a defective cap?
