I used a 5' section of 1/4" tubing to fill the trans and diff. The fill holes are close enough to the outer diameter of the tube that it stays in place then add a funnel and gravity it will be filled. The drain plugs on my car were stubborn but with encouragement from a heavy hammer on the end of my ratchet they freed up.
I don't want to be a dick, but if anyone already has a picture of the small 7mm drain plug location for the rear chamber, can you post it? For God's sake don't crawl under there and take a pic, but maybe somebody already has one?

Thank you gentlemen! If it is true that about a pint gets trapped back there then I will be changing this out completely (again... ) very soon! I can't verify that the PO used the correct fluid, and I have driven a few thousand miles with what I thought was all new fluid, but now it turns out it was maybe only 66% new fluid.

@ RRoller123 Ditto. I guess I will have to get under Fiona again Does anyone sell the bolt in case of damage on removal ? Going to order the trans gasket and replace at the same time (silver lining)
I think that is correct, and if you drain the rear compartment, I ASSUME that it should spill over into said rear compartment before it overflows the fill hole?

I dunno. The Fiat mechanic who rebuilt my transmission said to add one quart to the dry tranny, cap it and tilt the thing upwards. Hold for a little bit. Return to level and fill normally. This implies that oil is circulated throughout during operation, but would not flow rearward assembly unless the transmission was turning.
(With a dry transmission) I suppose one could fill normally, carefully run the car on the lift or jackstands for a minute or two, then top off.
BTW, while I have ranted here ad naseum about the unsuitability of modern engine oils to lubricate our Spiders, I have nothing but praise for Redline MTL in the gearbox. Stuff is slicker than goose s#%t; makes those cold-start shifts just as easy as fully-warmed. No "glitter" or anything sticking to a magnet after 10k.
This is similar to what I used to get the GL1 into the transmission. About $8, although I think I paid $12. Easiest thing to do. The tube fit in perfectly.

The shop manual I have says use non EP but the trend I get from this forum is that 80/90 GL5 EP is the best way to go. Also, does the same oil go into both the transmission and Diff?
