Rear Caliper Brake Hose Thread Size

I ordered a remanufactured brake caliper from rockauto.com, well it arrives and the threaded hole where you attach the brake hose is stripped. I measured 9.6 mm with a pair of calipers as the minor diameter. Does anyone know the diameter of the threads on the hose? You could slip the hose fitting in and out freely, and it is a new hose from I believe it was Bruceâ€™s or Vickâ€™s.

You can also see where they had to heli-coil the bleeder screw so my guess is that some one previously boogered up the caliper, and then they did their best to rebuild it.

Contact the supplier. A reputable supplier will make it good and pay shipping both ways.

I orderd all reman calipers for my spider too. One was stripped too. I called rockauto and the replaced it with no questions.

Have brakes now, not TOO difficult to get the credit and return the parts.
