Wheel advice

Post by Danno »

I know that many people enjoy the stock classic look of the Fiat's wheels, but I am not a huge fan. I'd like to find something a little bigger (no, i'm not looking for 20's on this thing) that could give me a nicer custom look. I guess bolt-pattern is a problem here. What cheap options are there? I have Konig Heliums on my other car and they are wonderful, not to wild, and incredibly light weight (15's are 11.5lbs) I'd love to do something similar with the Fiat, but the bolt pattern on those is 4x100. What's the deal with wobblers? I've heard good things I've heard bad things. Someone explain it to me, and maybe provide pictures if you have em.

Any other specs that you can give me on the tires/wheels on the stock fiat would be appreciated as I haven't immediate access to the car (have to drive to check it out!)

offset? stock wheel size? stock tire size? OEM wheel weight?

It isnt too much to have wheel adapters made. They take the 4x98 pattern and add a 4x100. There are a few places online who make them on ebay.. I think they run about $150 a set of 4.

At my shop im working on aluminum wheel hubs.. they can be made to have both 4x98 and 4x100 patterns so you can bolt on just about any wheel you wanted. The only problem is that the rotors have to be relieved (drilled) a little to allow for the 4x100 pattern. And the same must be done to the rear axles.

There are quite a few issues here, more than bolt pattern. I am a firm believer that all wheels should be hubcentric to ride on the spindle. The bolts should only hold the wheel to the hub. I know many out there run wheels which arent hubcentric...

I've looked at the wobbler type bolts, I just don't trust them so much. Once you've seen wheel studs shear off, you just think twice about everything safety-wise.

Happy motoring,

they look nice, but I didn't see anything less than 19lbs. On a car with an 80hp engine I don't think that's a great idea.

These are kinda Panasport imitations made in Austrialia. Bought them for my spider, a 14" set of 4 520$ shipped off ebay. The quality it great, and the look over my stock 13" iron crosses is amazing. They may not be as light as Panasports, but for have the price I will live :)

The Abarth Wheel Made by Cromodora are the one's I would love to have (the ones on the bottom).

I don't think my wife would let me spend that much for wheels.

What is the model of my wheels??

Post by kapman001 »

Hi all. I am trying to locate new chrome center caps as well as the plastic "fiat" badges that go in the center and am wondering if anyone on here can help me identify the model of wheels I have. They are Cromodora 13x5 Wheels. Attached below is a picture without the steel/chrome center caps.

Also, if anyone has one available, I am looking to pic up a single matching rim to use as a matching spare
