Windshield wipers

Post by o2baquirk »

I have a 79 spider I am working on, The wiper motor was no good I found a used one that motor is good but gear slipped so I made the 2 into 1 working wiper motor. Now the question, when the wipers stop they are in the vertical position is this where they should be? if not how did I do this? and how do I fix it? I have taken the wiper arms off and reset many times and as far as I can tell there is only one way to put in the motor. Help

the wiper motor should have a "speed bump" that lifts the contact to make it stop in the same position each time. this should make the wipers stop at the same place each time. let the wipers stop at the speed bump, pull the wiper arms from the pivot and reinstall with the blade parallel to the bottom of the windshield.
