For 1980 FI manual Spider, does anyone recognize where this goes? Clutch cable related perhaps? Thanks

That's an odd part, GreenSpider. I don't recall seeing it on any Fiat that I've worked on recently... But, maybe I'm missing something from the later model years.

Something to put it into size perspective would be nice. Could be a wire or hose support missing its grommet.

That's kinda what I'm thinking too. The attachment point is the circular hole towards the top left, and the two C-shaped prongs to the right and left are supports for hoses or cables/wires.

Some part of the convertible top mechanism?

All clean if that helps.
The square notch appears to keep it from turning. The round end looks to fit a rubber grommet but it has a small lip. Stand off to keep the e-brake cable from touching the exhaust pipe, or ???? Just grabbin' for straws now.

Throttle cable support or ignition wire loom? Perhaps fuel line support? It looks too clean and rust free to have been under the car and is a bit small for a heater hose.
