So Ive been running megasquirt for quite some time, Im re-working it all now.
I would like to find some injectors that will fit without too much hassle. Because I can compensate for the lb/hr rating (within reason) im not too concerned with flow rate. Does anyone know of an injector off a bmw or volvo that will fit the intake manifold/fuel rail?
Replacement injectors
Re: Replacement injectors
Alright - Turns out Nissan 280 zx Injectors (turbo) are a perfect fit. They are 26 lb/hr compared to stock fiat of 14 lb/hr. (not that i needed more fuel, but its nice to have the tunability.). Ill be fitting this weekend. ended up being $38 a piece from GP Sorenson. Not sure if there are any other folks with aftermarket ECU's here, but ill let you all know how it works out.

Re: Replacement injectors
Have you made mechanical upgrades to the engine requiring more fuel, or are you just adding some headroom with the injectors and trying to find the best tune?
Re: Replacement injectors
The engine has larger valves, cams, high compression pistons, megasquirt, knife edged crank, lightened/balanced rods, ported head, ported intake, headers, lightweight flywheel. -modest improvements to let the engine breath/exhale and rev a little better.
The stock injectors never hit 100% duty cycle, but they would get close on full-load, high rpm runs. They are 30+ years old and were tired. rather that sending them off and getting them cleaned, i figured i would just buy some new ones with some more tuning head room. Might want to get a turbo one day.

Re: Replacement injectors
In case anyone ever references this post, Nissan 280zx turbo injectors fit perfectly in the stock fiat MPFI manifold. Obviously, these will only work if you have a tunable FI system so that you can account for the increased flow rate. Idle is still perfect. Remember that these are still low impedance injectors so you have limit the current on your injector drivers. That is all.
