Cut and remove the old system just before the Cat Conv. Install a custom formed aluminized 2" pipe instead of the 1 3/4". all the way to the new muffler which is a aluminized Dynamax Ultra-Flow welded muffler with lifetime warranty. This is a straight through with glass innards with a single center 2" tail pipe. Had some trepidation when I looked through it and saw no restrictions whatsoever!. So the guy said if it is to loud we just pop a small resonator inline for $50. With new hangers and a nice chrome sloped tip added we fired it up. I was waiting for the machine gun sound and was quite surprised at how beautiful it sounded. It sounded exactly like my old Dino Ferrari from the seventies. I could not be more happy with the tone at all RPM ranges. When at idle a light rumble. Low to middle range a throaty medium tone that lies to the public saying Ferrari power. At higher speed mid to full revs it just goes quiet so lovely for hwy and cruising speeds.
The above tones are through all gear ranges. What I really liked is when down shifting the tone dances all over with a nice deep cackle kind of like a Merlin off a Spitfire or P-51 (but not as loud) regarding performance? Well not had the car long enough beforehand to really measure a difference. But with the nice sounds it does feel faster in the brain at least. Most important is the ladies in the house love it.
Now I'm very fussy about my cars and can only say that I am very pleased with this setup. Total cost in Canadian dollars installed $421.98 with lifetime warranty. So being in Canada at least 50% of the cost is in tarriffs, taxes and general screw the people taxes or am I being to mean? 9 out of 10.

Can be viewed here. I will be painting the muffler box flat black to blend it better. http://gallery.me.com/jamesaellis1#100101
