Well these now cost more than I pd a year ago ($45). I'm sure could be done with the steel ones too. The f.g. ones + clips and fasteners probably weigh 6 oz. - 8 oz.

Found a set of f.g. ones sold for race cars and held in place to scribe my closely matching contour and ground / sanded to my scribed line. Made simple clips to attach and love the results. Will paint the same flat gunmetal gray as wheels.

Hey Bender - Here you go. Painted bumpers, ended up using Rustoleum flat metallic gray which matched wheels very close. I'm happy with results. I tapped holes where bumpers attach to brackets so that next time at hardware store I can replace my misc. junk bin fasteners with button head cap screws.TheBender wrote:Looks good. Did you take any pictures of the clips and how you mounted them?
Finished pictures above.Slartibartfaster wrote:Thanks for posting this! I've been thinking of ordering these (real or fiberglass) as a possible solution but I couldn't gague if they were even close to the right size/layout to work.
Two questions
-How much material did you remove to make them fit? How would they have fit as they came?
- Did you try placing them on the front of the car as well? I'm wondering if they could work for front and back solutions.
