ADHA to DFEV carb/manifold swap on '79

Todd, What is the model # of the WIX 2 to 1 fuel filter that you got? The Amazon link a few pages up is not working.

Yeah, ya just turn that old water choke plumbing into a loop. Old hose from fittings on passenger's side goes to coolant fitting on new single plane,...(or you'll need to block that hose off).
WIX is #33040.

Todd, I am on way thanks for the help. one more question regarding the charcoal canister.

Old setup:
- Outfeed connection from top of canister was connected to the base of the carb.
- Infeed from carb vapor vent line came into the side of the canister.
- Infeed from fuel tank vent line came into the bottom of the canister

New carb
-New filter WIX-#33040 vent line will be connected to the side of the canister to replace the carb vapor vent line.
- There is no connection on the carb for the outfeed from the canister. Should I just cap the top connection? If this outlet is capped where will the fumes go? Will I have pressure build up in the canister?

Hang on, Royd,...the WIX filter is a fuel filter with a fuel return (to the gas tank) port. My old factory ADHA uses a fuel return,...
My DFEV does not have the fuel return, so the WIX provides fuel return.
I'll have to get a pic of my present charcoal canister 'plumbing', so that you'll know how to attach your vacuum hoses. I don't have access to that part of the car at the moment, so give me a day, or two. I'll post back ASAP,...

With the Wix filter, the larger port on the side where there are 2 is the feed from the fuel tank, the smaller is the return to the tank. both lines are next to each other on driver's side. the single port on other side of the filter goes to the carb (you knew that part). I use the same filter and the same carb set up.
there are a few ideas on here about the charcoal canister. I can't say for certain mine is hooked up right either.

My canister: fuel vapors from the tank come in through the bottom of my canister. I've capped the single, small port on the top of my can (mine has a second, larger, I assume one-way valve on top, also).
The second hose, at the bottom of the can, attaches to air cleaner vacuum.
That's all I had to do.
