Powerstop Brake Pads for Vick Auto Prima Brakes Upgrades

Post by Vkgallo »

Hi All, I purchased the Vick Auto Prima brake system a number of years ago. Cant complain as the system works well especially for the price.

It is time to replace the pads and the only quality replacement performance pad set are EBC greenstuff for sale on the Vick auto site. I really like the Powerstop Z23 pads. They grip well and they don't make much dust. I was trying to figure out what car the caliper and caliper mount came out of. That way I can see if the pads I want are available. Vick's site says the prima brakes are based on the "Nuova 500" which I assume is the new Fiat 500 that came out in 2012. I purchased a set of those brake pads and they ae completely different. Does anyone know what car their system is based on? I was going to upload a picture but cant figure out how. Does anyone have any idea what car they got the calipers from? I really don't want to buy the prima greenstuf pads if I dont have too. Thanks-Vince

We say they are "like" the newer brakes. Not the same as.

Hi Vince,
I would assume that you changed your pads by now, what did you use?
Did you find out what car the brakes are from?
I would be interested in knowing the casting numbers you could find on the caliper mounting brackets and on the calipers if you have a chance, I have access to people in Europe and Eastern Europe to help me search these part numbers.
