Not sure about which post to look for but RRoller123 has a great looking engine and you could start by looking through his posts.

+1 on buying the wrinkle paint material in a common rattle spray can and following the directions exactly. Cleanliness is critical. If you can remove the part and have it properly solvent cleaned that would help.
Also watch the temperature range of the part and make sure there is a large safety margin. I have used 400F on my exhaust heat shield (it bubbled) , then 600F Exhaust paint (it is starting to bubble, and smells poorly) and will likely just go buy some of the Eastwood stuff that claims to be able to withstand well over a 1000F.

Did you primer it? The primer underneath may have failed. I used no primer for the wrinkle paint, just be sure of an exceedingly clean surface. Valve covers and Cam Boxes done, no problems so far. The only place that paint has not yet worked fully is the exhaust heat shield. That thing gets hotter than we realize, I think.

Oven cure, when the wife was out of the house. It is a necessity, and it stinks to high heaven for a little while. But it goes away quickly.
