Finally received the clutch pressure plate yesterday and put the engine in. I had discovered that the release arm was broken so I had to repair it before putting the clutch together and installing the engine for what was supposed to be the last time only to discover that there is still some transmission mount alignment adjustments to be made and possibly some engine mount alignment issues as well. I am going to fabricate the radiator mounts and look the situation over. I know I will end up making adjustments to the transmission mount as the tranny is touching the tunnel on the drivers side. Only with the radiator in place will I know if I need move the engine forward a little. I may not after I center the transmission properly.
Engine in only to come out one more time.. maybe..

Wow. That really looks great. You don't like cutting corners, do you? Tidy enough to convince someone it came that way.
Will the new shifter be close to the location of the original? Did the cutout for the distributor interfere with the front cowl?
I can't wait to see it up and running.

Hi Kevin Thanks for the kind words. Yes everything is where it should be for the most part . The cowl goes over the distributor and everything. I can't wait to have it running again either it has been ten years!

Hey Rpb, what are you going to for the headers custom or block huggers, long tube?

The headers are long tube s10 for the 4.3 v6 that I customized to fit in the spider. From the picture they are hard to see but they are there. The collector is 2.5" .. I'm running 2.5" exhaust with turbos an muffler tips all the way out the back.brad302 wrote:Hey Rob, what are you going to for the headers custom or block huggers, long tube?
I may switch to flowmasters when I can afford it.
Cheers!
