I have a clear clock face! I got sooo tired of the yellow plastic on it, I first went to the best glass shop around here with my old piece as a template. They said they couldn't do it, mainly because of the little hole for the stem winder. So, I went to Lowe's and bought a 12X12 piece of UV protected Lexan, made the pattern from the old one, and cut it with a fine toothed jig saw blade ( my scroll saw was stolen). It only took about an hour, after the wasted trip to the glass shop, and does it look good!
If anyone wants to know the procedure I have pictures and I can give a little tutorial. It's pretty easy to do.

if you want to perform a cloudy to clear trick on your backwindow :

use coppercleaner and keep rubbing it , your backwindow wil clear up and your arms will nearly fall off but results are stunning , specially when you do the inside properly

I've got a new plastic glass for my clock but I've mutilated one already trying to get the bezel off. How did you do that?

Denise, I hope the picture shows it well enough. I used a thin blade screw driver and started where there is slot in the bezel. I slowly...carefully pried the crimped bezel out from over the rim it encloses on the clock body. You don't have to bend it very much, less than 1/16" and move around the bezel until you see that it is a little past the 1/2 way point. Then you should be able to pull it off the clock body. Putting it back is the same, only I used a medium tip screw driver and recrimped the bezel over the rim, a little at a time. It was the slowest part of the whole job, but it went off and on OK.

Good info Tappy. What kind of cloth do you use to keep from getting streaks and swirls in the plastic?
