I think that is a FI cam cover on reverse? Is it ok to install the cam covers on reverse?

I decided against the custom control arm bushings after welding some cracks. I had Jon Logan do the head and porting and used the Midwest Bayless intake cam. Still the stock block with new rings and honed cylinders. I had Millers Mule make some adaptors to use with a set of Lancia wheels that are 14x7. Image

Mike, you would have a long wait, I'm pretty slow! I started the work in April, and really thought it would be done a lot sooner. But going slow was the fun way. And I wrench 40 hours a week for a paycheck. I do have a spare single plane intake too. I have some Lancia Cam covers I may end up using, these are just the stock ones. I am scrapping a 76 Lancia, and hope to incorporate some goodies into her. The carpet and trunk liners may be usefull. The exhaust is just a old IAP header with a bung for a lambda (O2) sensor. Its 2 inches and has a turbo muffler. I may put some kind of resonator in it. It is kind of loud, but I will need to drive it now to see! I have a innovate air/fuel gauge I hope will be handy to tune the 36ADL webber. I should be able to map this on my Mega-Jolt system and have the results on the laptop. Too bad the snow has come. I will take her out soon, on clear roads. I still have some bumper work to do. I am thinking about powder coating a set of old school bumpers that are kind of rough now. And will also do the wheels. Which means that I will probably sell the Roosevelts which are very clean. I have a lot of interior work to finish also. This all has been going on for too long, I need to finish her up!

I'm interested in the single-plane intake if it's for sale. I'm planning on doing just some basic updates and repairs over the winter - mostly replacing the intake and getting things sorted out with the new carburetor so the car runs right again. I'm fighting the 'while you are in there' bug, but then reality strikes and tells me to wait until I have time to finish the job. On the bright side though, it's been a great runner and a little TLC should get her back up to snuff for now.

By the way, what were you thinking starting a major project like that at the BEGINNING of driving season???

I had a project car in the garage for years and decided to sell it as is last summer. I started the Fiat work outside, so late April was set. It was funny and complicated driving the Mini Cooper to events... But now I have my shop set, and a working air compressor. Our first meeting next Spring will be April 7th, at the Milano Inn. If the weather cooperates, I will be driving her there. I'm sure some cars and coffee events will be attended also. While you have your intake off it would be a good time to clean the cyclonic trap and check the hoses that attach to it. Otherwise you really work by brail. PM me, we can discuss the intake, maybe you can come over and check out my project. This pic is of my 61 Fiat going to a new home. Sad day, but necessary...Image
