the 2 rollbars shown do not look like the same bar. I have seen an autopower mounted like the 2nd example. the top of the bar sits right at the top fold in the rag top where the back window is. This hits me as sitting a long way back to be very effective. the first example shows the bar being just behind the door opening. This looks like a move effective location to me. I'm actually considering building my own plug out of PVC pipe and taking it to a shop and having it duplicated in .120 dom. I, too, would love to see more examples of mountings.

So, can any one tell me if there is a difference in the floor lay out between a 1976 spider and a 1980.
what I'm getting at, will a roll bar from a 1976 spider fit my 1980 spider?

The floor is the same, at least in regard to rollbar attachment, the later spiders had a hump in the floor in front of the passenger seat for the cat. converter but that's not an issue. The Autopower roll bar fits nicely on my 73 spider and the 79 and later spiders.
