Ahh, but I did get the euro spec 71 1608 with twin factory 40,s , the waffle and the turtle. I drove it only for a short time as it was rusted beyond repair. I chopped that one up.

And your Euro Spec 1608 had more compression and that is it nothing else was better the cam thing is just
folklore, how this got spread as the magic profile to have is just a legend in someone's mind.

I love watching(reading) folks go back and forth with this. So here is a challenge ....... For those folks that know how to measure them. Can you post the results of the cam measurements for same year car/engine from the US and from Europe. Data should come from actual cams, not from publications. For the sake of good discussion, how about measurements from a 1438, 1608' 1756 and 2L respectively

Was just the engine Euro Spec or the whole car? and what did you see that differed from the USA Specs I'm only asking cause I've never seen one of these in person that I'm aware of.

It was a 71. It had a small bump hood. U S 71,s had flat hoods. It had small round side markers. Twin webers with the turtle air cleaner and waffle manifold. It had cromadoras with the small hub cap. Speedometer wasnt in mph. Those are the only differences that I recall. It was rusty, but very driveable. I bought it for parts . I might still have the head in the garage. Have two 1608 heads , but not sure if one is off that car or not. Car was tired and didnt run as strong as I* expected.

Well I'm not trying to brag but I have measured USA Fiat cams Stever Relax Dood I said US Cams read
my posts again, trying to make it sound like I haven't done something is a bit presumptuous of you. Many people
do say the 1608 US Model have larger cams I mean I can just ignore this and move on I don't need to argue a
point proved to myself and others in the past, have you measured USA CAMS? done any comparisons? One guy on
here measured a 1608 camshaft after I told him and came up with the same conclusion that I did...
