How did you attach the header?

We cut the flange of the RSX headers and replace it with one made from the copy of the exhaust gasket made from 5/8 Stainless steel. We weld the piping back to the flange using TIG welder.

Yes but since we have to change the angle of all tube and reverse the wastegate, it will be better to start from scratch. But it's done so next...

Tonight we did the piping from the 2.5'' downpipe of the turbo to the front of the catalytic converter (witch is removed and replace by a resonator with the same flange to bolt the manifold). We took the original piping and cut the two pipes around 5'' under the flange, join them together and fit them inside the downpipe of the turbo. Pictures tomorrow, myiphone was dead...

I am looking at doing the same as you, but for the 16v engine. The measurements from the Mitsubishi 4G63 are very close. I had thought to do the same, get an exhaust flange cut and use the 4G63 headers.

I think that if you use the 4G63 headers, the flange for the turbo will be too far in the back.

I think that is true for the 8v with the exhaust on the (US) passenger side, the 16v has the exhaust on the driver side. The stock log manifold puts the flange right up against the firewall. Seems like the 4G63 would move it farther forward than others. I am presently looking at fitting the engine to the bellhousing. I have a 16v turbo motor and the block has balance shafts, so that the standard 131 transmission bellhousing starter location causes interference between the starter and the balance shaft. 1) machine a new plate to fit a standard 131 bellhousing
2) use a 131 ohv bellhousing
With the winter upon me, I haven't done much in the garage on this recently.
