the problem with milling them is that the dome is hollow, so you can't take enough off.

My car is 1980 does not have the Fuel Injection on it any longer did the have to change the head to remove the fuel injection?

I didn't have a mic to check the thickness,but my best guess using the digit method,might be around 10-15 mm thick was about it.(if that) When shaving the top I can see the shoulder ,(edges) area getting thinner. I don't suppose that would be good eh... If I have time tomorrow,my neighbour has a set of measuring devices that should work.[/quote]

The Persan pistons are 8mm thick in the center of the dome.

All that work and money to build up an engine that won't make even 200hp.. cheaper to swap out the engine for one that will make the power. 8)

Looks like 8mm domed pistons. I was going to use them in another engine build,but not in the works at the moment. perhaps later.
So these domed pistons are not the best for street use? I wanted more power but still drivable in traffic in a carb'd engine and after market cams ect...
