Hi
Would it be possible to use a 12V air compressor for example
http://www.adventuretrailers.com/tirecompr.html
...and use the air from the air compressor for an “air amplifier” and use the“coando effect” and cooling effect from the “air amplifier”
http://www.processcontrol.asia/techsale ... lifier.htm
… and mount the “air amplifier” just before the air intake and use the“air amplifier” for:
1. Use the “coando effect” for getting more air into the carburetor
2. Cooling effect , for getting colder air than “normal”
3. Higher pressure )(if it will be higher pressure?)than ambiant pressure (14.6 psi)
...to get your engine work better and more efficient than a E-ram system?
...or could it be more efficient to have the “air amplifier system" connect to the exhaust system, as a venturi system?
Air amplifier for intake?

Re: Air amplifier for intake?
The only "Air amplifier" systems that work run off the crankshaft or exhaust gases, anything else is designed to separate a sucker from his money.

Why don't you port and polish the intake and exhaust side of the head.
Re: Air amplifier for intake?
I thought perhaps it could be a difference between a "fan" (with blades) used in E-Ram and an "air-amplifier" with an air compressor(which I´ll never seen as a intake system for a car).131 wrote:.....anything else is designed to separate a sucker from his money.

Wouldn't you need an exhaust amplifier as well ?Thunberg wrote:I thought perhaps it could be a difference between a "fan" (with blades) used in E-Ram and an "air-amplifier" with an air compressor(which I´ll never seen as a intake system for a car).131 wrote:.....anything else is designed to separate a sucker from his money.

Re: Air amplifier for intake?
The systems you linked to are fine for factory process control, but they are high volume, low pressure, useless for engine boost applications. If it worked for engines there'd be no such thing as crank or exhaust powered supercharging.

how do we know these even work at all ? we have seen so many gimmicks over the years that did nothing but131 wrote:The systems you linked to are fine for factory process control, but they are high volume, low pressure, useless for engine boost applications. gave some people a mental performance boost...
Re: Air amplifier for intake?
side drafts and fi both? I bet it runs pretty rich. That motor should be a candidate for an air amplifier

I can't believe some of the stuff people pass off as performance equipment...
Don't buy any of it...

Re: Air amplifier for intake?
None of it's being touted as performance gear for a car, it's for factory process control, moving high volumes of air at low pressure. But none of it will translate to what's required for an internal combustion engine. An eaton M45 blower requires 23hp to run it at max revs, pushing 300cfm at 10psi. You'd want a decent electric motor and fan to come even close to moving that amount of air. The coanda effect won't do it.v6spider wrote:I can't believe some of the stuff people pass off as performance equipment...
