Re: Rebuilt
Cam is preference, has nothing to do with piston size. Could have something to do with piston type though.

Re: Rebuilt
Ill try , others would do better here though. Piston size. From the factory, the cars come with a standard piston diameter. When rebuilding a motor, if there is any wear in the cylinder you would need to move up to the next piston size like 20 over standard, or 40 over if the cylinders are bad.

Jim:
your cams will be chosen based upon any number of factors. You will want to choose your pistons and cams together, with a plan in mind. Choosing one without considering the other is unwise.
best bet is to decide what you want from the motor, and then choose your cams and pistons together at that time to build toward your plan.
Cams are probably the single-most important component in determining the nature of a build. Choosing them based on what pistons you have would be like choosing a new home based on what you want to keep in the refrigerator.

I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!
