Hi,
Can anyone share a tip for getting the old ball stud out of the throttle bellcrank?
Thanks,
Mark

jim at least replace the hose
opus
drill it out from the back side
go smaller than the stud
and tap a part into the hole you drilled
and it should come off ok at that point

Re: Weber 32/36 DFEV Upgrade: Game, but Ignorant
I was doing some reading
does this make sense, I AM WONDERING IF THE INTAKE IS leaking!! could it be possible that it not properly sealed and water is leaking into the intake and spitting it thru the breather hose, ?
there is water spitting out at a high rev, also in ready this morning ,it said the engine will reve high and low. and it seems mine is doing this too./
so i will assume that i have a leak thru my intake gasket, even thro it a brand new gasket, maybe under tighten
SO is this the reason ?
THANKS
I did not see any water in my oil. i did check that

Hi Joe,
Thanks, after a running down a battery pack I've done nothing but make it shiny.
There's another hole but I'll have to bush it and I think I'll have to bend the threaded rod, something I wanted to avoid.
Thanks again,
Mark

I don't have an answer only more questions:
Where exactly is the liquid coming from?
Wouldn't coolant leaking into the intake be inducted into the engine
Water - condensation, or coolant?
Do you have a manual with cutaway drawings of the oil/coolant galleys?
Good luck,
Mark

Re: Weber 32/36 DFEV Upgrade: Game, but Ignorant
jim if you have just a hose then you have two open holes into your crankcase
the veny system has a short hose that goes into the oil seperator
then a hose going to the air filter
if the head is loose you wont have compression and coolant will be in the oil
opus your drill bit is it dull?
try a smaller size bit
bending it will work but your throw will be shorter "less control"
i also have problems like a high idle and sticky at the bottom "when i push the pedal"

Hi Joe,
Two brand-new 3/32" cobalt bits, one full charged battery pack each; no joy.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Weber 32/36 DFEV Upgrade: Game, but Ignorant
yea thats gross. you just did an oil change?
drain it out in a clean pan
pour some desle fuel thru the whole motor including that hose without the drain plug
pour it thru a few times
let sit for a few hours then install the drain plug
i hope this helps

i also have problems like a high idle and sticky at the bottom "when i push the pedal"[/quote]
The last 2 Weber 32/36's I did had that same problem. The high idle linkage was sticking. I turned the screw that holds that linkage out 1/4 of a turn, and the problem went away. Maybe the screw sits too deep in the body. Try to unscrew it 1/4 or 1/2 turn, and if it works then use some loctite on it and reset it.

I did not see any water in my oil. i did check that
That may just be condensation in your oil. Your car has to run at operating temp to burn off the water that is in your crankcase caused by condensation. Running it for a bit and not letting it get to temp can cause even more condensation in the crankcase. My car does the same, especially if it has been sitting for a week to two, as I live in a wet area.
