I need to know if the engine head of the 1600 special T will work with a 1983 2000 FI engine.

if it is the original, the answer is yes, the 74 1600 special tc used a 1592 cc engine, this was 132 series based, the answer is yes if that is the case, same head as the 1800

its not complete the same in the combustion chamber as a 1800 this area is smaller on the 1592 head
but it will switch over and work on a larger engine . The chamber is closer to that of the 1438 and 1608
heads the water passages are the same as a 1800 or 2000 which is what really matters on a more or less
stock engine swap .
