I hope I'm grown-up enough to know when my emotions have gotten the best of me and I'm shootin' from the hip, all code-red n stuff.

After re-reading my posts on this thread, I think that's the case here.

I've taken what is a hot-button for me and let it become offensive to you all. Sorry to all the other forum members for that.

Please don;t misunderstand: I'm still pissed. And what I posted is still just as true as it was when I posted it. But y'all don't need me using-up your bandwidth for it.

I will now go remove the offending posts from this thread. If anyone wants to do a search on how transactions with a specific forum member have gone, they can always search and find the thread where other transactions have transpired.

again, mae culpa. My bad. Sorry for offending or disrespecting any of the rest of you.

No problem here, you should be pissed for what you received. Steve should take back his rarer than rare pistons and issue you a refund or another set of the rarest pistons in the world.

The problem is not the beef, its the fact that if a guy gets bullied off the form, especially a knowledgeable member then everyone loses out, as said; the initial beef has been aired, deal with the rest in private.

thats the sad thing about internet beefs, sometimes a good old fistfight and drinks after would have put this one to bed a long time ago.....distances and all. :P

What Kbee00 said below should be the main focus of any forum! To warn amd help others.

"Everyone on this website needs to be warned of his actions - or else the site is not doing justice to it's members"

Mr. SteveC has passed on what many may consider "good" knowlegde. And that may very well be the case BUT at what price? I have $700 worth of parts that are worthless - his information was flat out wrong.
Loren,

I'm not sure what your problem is.... you PMed me asking me for (FREE) advice on an engine build...I gave you several suggestions, a couple of which you thought were good ideas and YOU then chose to buy a croma inlet manifold and a set of late bolt only conrods...not from me either, from another ebay seller .....how can these ideas be unsustainable?? and how have I done the wrong thing??

The Croma manifold is definitely the pick of the bunch of the stock FI manifolding, definitely a step above the stock spyder manifolding and capable of more HP/torque. I said I had no idea if it would fit a LHD body, only that I knew it definitely would fit a RHD body...your reply was that you would be shifting the brake booster / master cylinder assembly anyway.

Bolt only type rods are definitely a better option than stock 2litre rods, I even gave you the correct part number for the ARP fasteners to use.... how has any of this information been erroneous??

Quite frankly the questions you asked showed that your total knowledge of the Fiat twin cam could be written on the head of a pin with a crayon, and here you are broadsiding me because I'm not giving you answers to your inane questions.

I did receive your PM's, but my lack of communication for a while was because my partner was diagnosed with a couple of brain tumours.... and if your think answering PM's from you was more important than my partners health then your sadly mistaken and delusional.

Maytags beef should be with the postal service, the goods I sent were in perfect condition, it was the postal service that dunked them in water and damaged them, maytag paid for and got postal insurance, he should use it. In years of sending parts across the world his is the first and only case I have ever had a complaint...

About the only thing you should be warning people about is that they should never offer you advice as your likely to turn on them at a moments notice...and that you talk crap.

I've got a stack of nice pictures of the 16V head, and some flow numbers too... but an old maxim about feeding pearls to swine comes to mind...

ok, im not getting into any of these arguments. i just have one comment:

The only stupid question is the one in which you already know the answer.

however retorical a question may seem to a learned person on a subject, should not give them the right to belittle someone for their lack of knowledge on that certain subject.

we all one time didnt know anything about these motors/ cars. we learned and now most have no problems sharing this with the community. this forum is a great place for people to learn and enjoy these fine automobiles. i am glad to be part of it.

Steve, I'm going to beg you to take a higher road here. Do NOT think that because I decided to spare the forum a knock-down in this thread that I will allow you to continue to throw around lies and twisted / spinning truths relating to our transaction. you are a master of obfuscation (look it up, you'll find your photo there) and nothing would make you happier than to see me remove myself from the argument, so you could "spin-away".

Let it lie, and I will too. But keep bringing it up, and I'll burn ya to the ground with dates, excerpts from the correspondence pasted into the thread, etc etc. Do not misconstrue this act of elevating myself out of the fray as a peace offering. it is nothing of the sort.

You need to be done here.
