Ordered the flamethrower and Ignitor for my 72 spider. I thought it was wired as per the instructions, but alas, it wouldn't start. My first attempt, tho, was to bypass the resistor (ballast?), so it was removed and the two wires went directly to the neg post of the coil (one of which was the black from the Ignitor). I tried it with the resistor re-installed and still no start. so I must have wired it wrong the first time and ruined the Ignitor, because I tried switching the wiring at the coil, too, but that didn't work, either. Put the points and condenser back in and it started right up. Crap.

why don't you measure the resistance of the blue coil? then you can tell the rest of us what it is
