Guys,
Anyone any experience with these polyester fenders from http://www.abarth-gmr.be/new/parts.php? ... R%20ABARTH
(about 2/3 of the way down the page)?
My originals on the 79/2000 are pretty rusted up and am thinking this could be a cheaper, less labour intensive option.
Plus it helps retro fitting old style side markers and turn signals.
Any info appreciated or any alternative ideas welcome (I'm in UK/Europe).
Many thanks.

Well, I'm in the same boat as you. I have a badly dented drivers side wing, and I'm thinking of going with the fiberglass option. Since I'm in the states, I'll be hitting up Bruce's when I get the money saved up (after all the other problems are fixed)
As far as labor goes, I think it's gonna depend on your skill set. Sheet metal repair panels are available (I believe they come in three pieces), but will require welding experience. The fiberglass one you're looking at, as well as the one from Bruce's, seem to be one piece. As far as I'm aware, they're meant to be riveted or bonded with fiberglass to the car.
If you're replacing the entire piece, you'll have to remove the spot welds that hold the original onto the car. I'm under the impression that this is a pain.
