Timing belt differences…

Just read on another board that the timing belts used on cars equipped with A/C were a bit wider and stronger…is this true?

The wider belts are not available and not necessary. Folks who race these engines, at 7000-9000rpm, use the same narrow belts I do.

i worked at fiat dealers all my life and never heard of a different belt for the ac cars
seeing the ac s were dealer installed (except for bricklin cars)
i dont see the dealers changing the timing belt when installing the ac unit
please show your source for that information

the only other board is mira which is controlled by old men who have never actually driven there cars and mira has always been full of misinformation and has a problem with people who post the truth
