Bittersweet Day

Post by courtenay »

Bittersweet day today…I sold my Spider. I found I simply wasn’t using it enough to justify keeping it. In the 10 years I’ve owned the car, I’ve only put 3000 Kms on it.
My wife and I found that with our camper, 5th wheel trailer and boat….as well as a lot of golf….well you get the picture….too many toys and not enough time!

Very happy that it’s gone to a very good home, and the new owner has promised that he will carry on the tradition of not driving the car in the rain!

I’ve strongly advised him to join this Forum to take advantage of the tremendous knowledge base here. Peter likes to do his own wrenching, so I’m sure he will be a solid contributor if he joins.

Finally, a huge thanks to all here who have helped me along the way. It has been very much appreciated!

Cheers, all!

Sorry to hear, Bruce. But understood - mine will end up being sold some day in the future,...getting old, and I can't take it with me.
We will look forward to welcoming Peter, and his 'new' '80 Spider, to the forum.
Best of luck in all that you do!
